Key West, Florida

Being in Miami, we had to make the trek out to the farthest south point of the US (Key West, Fl). We decided to drive the four hours each way in one day. Call us crazy, but we’ve driven 13 hours in a day before. What’s 8-9?

The day started out gloomy, but quickly turned sunny. The views of the Florida Keys were stunning!

We finally made it to Key West!

We asked a local where the best conch fritters were, and we were directed to Half Shell Raw Oyster Bar. The fritters weren’t the best, despite the reviews, but the views and the oysters were delicious (especially for half price happy hour).

The walls were filled with license plates. We were, sadly, unsuccessful in locating one.

We walked over to Mallory Square to watch the sunset. It's a big spectacle here every single night.

Awesome (and really long) day. I wouldn’t recommend driving all the way to Key West and back in one day… it was somewhat gruelling.
