Maine

We re-routed our trip from Halifax to Maine as my good friend just so happened to be in an ultimate frisbee tournament (sort of) along our drive!

Still in Quebec, just outside of Quebec City.

The stunning drive:

Our awesome Airbnb host in Quebec City (email me for her info/page) told us about Acadia National Park and how beautiful and relaxing it is. We decided to drive there and spend as much time as we could. Unfortunately, we only had the opportunity to drive around the Park Loop before the sun set. We did watch a gorgeous sunset from the top of Cadillac Mountain though!

Entering into Acadia National Park

Hills on one side…
…the Atlantic Ocean on the other!

Going up, up, up to Cadillac Mountain…

Beauty!

Of course we had to try Maine lobster. We stopped at Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound and picked out our lobsters…

Which were put into nets:

Boiled in these:

To come out looking like this:

They were so delicious!

These lobsters were going for the touristy price of $7.95/lb but as we drove throughout the state, we saw some going for $4.99/lb! Still so worth it for the experience.

We stayed at Capt’n N Eve’s Eden B&B and woke up to these views:

We made our way along the scenic US 1S and enjoyed the colours the whole way:

I love trying out different flavours of chips, so when I found these, I had to buy them. I’m not sure what Back Bay crab seasoning is exactly, but the chips were mighty tasty!

We found the tournament and we found Brock!

So good to see you again!

We continued our drive to New Hampshire to leaf peep (hehehehe)! We tend to stop at McDonald’s when we see them because of these glorious signs:

Never thought I’d see the day I’d enjoy McD’s again!
