Michigan

We’ve done so much driving already, our normal sunsets are starting to look like this:

Is it worth it? So far, I’d say yes. I’d love to be spending a few more days in each place we visit, but it’s just not possible if we’re trying to escape winter for a few months.

We only had one full day in Michigan, so we visited a good friend of Graham’s in Jackson.

For the one full day we had, we stopped off at a Tim Horton’s! Not quite the same coffee, but delicious nonetheless.

We drove to Frankenmuth, Michigan, where we first stopped at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, truly the world’s largest Christmas store.

We then explored the tiny town of Frankenmuth, MI, and enjoyed a German dinner at the Bavarian Inn.

My love of pumpkin beer grows as this trip progresses.

That evening, we enjoyed delicious wine, iced wine, popcorn and truffles over a movie. Relaxing time in!

Graham’s friend works at a steel mill, so we had a chance to tour it! It only kind of made me want to become a materials engineer 😀

We’ll have to come back as I really, really want to see Northern Michigan (and visit other friends around Michigan).
