Chicago

We had only one full day in Chicago (surprise surprise). We spent the morning at GLC Joliet out in the far end of Chicagoland, and ate out with R+A at Merichka’s. I highly suggest going for one of their famous poor boys – so delicious!

There was a Bears game that afternoon, so the traffic exiting downtown was horrendous. At least our views were awesome!

Gorgeous stadium
Lakeshore Drive – skyscrapers on one side, a lake on the other.

This Buckingham fountain was very pretty. I evidently enjoyed taking pictures of it!

I needed to try deep dish pizza at least once in my life, so we stopped in at the infamous Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza. We opted to share an individual pizza after seeing how large the small pizzas were. Individuals are not on the menu, so be sure to ask! I believe we paid $7 for ours – it was enough to leave us full (but not… stuffed. Har har.).

Chicago made me really excited for the massive buildings in New York!
